Choose the shape

The shape is the first thing anyone notices. Eight cuts, drawn from above, each with its own collection.

Choose the setting

The setting holds the stone and sets the mood, from a single stone to a band of diamonds.

See the carat

Each round diamond is drawn at its true size next to the others, so you can see what the weight looks like.

  2. 3/4 ctAbout 5.8 mm across26 engagement rings
  3. 1 ctAbout 6.5 mm across24 engagement rings
  4. 1 1/2 ctAbout 7.4 mm across22 engagement rings

Sizes are for a single round diamond. Most of our titles give the total weight (ct. tw.) of every diamond in the ring, so the centre stone is often smaller than the total.

Natural, lab-grown or cubic zirconia

Three ways to fill the centre. Here is what sets them apart.

Natural diamond

  • Formed in the earth and mined.
  • The hardest natural gemstone, 10 on the Mohs scale.
  • Rarer, so it costs more at the same size.

Most of our rings

Lab-grown diamond

  • A real diamond, grown in a laboratory.
  • The same chemistry, hardness and sparkle as a mined diamond.
  • More size for the budget.

Cubic zirconia

  • A lab-made crystal, not a diamond.
  • Bright and clear, at a fraction of the price.
  • Softer, 8 to 8.5 on the Mohs scale, so it can scratch over time.

About our bridal jewelry

Sophia Jewelers carries more than six hundred engagement rings, along with thousands of wedding bands, eternity and anniversary rings, and promise rings.

Most of our engagement rings are set with lab-grown diamonds, in 14K white, yellow, rose or two-tone gold. Natural diamond rings and sterling silver rings with cubic zirconia fill out the range, and certified rings come with a GIA or IGI report, as stated on the product page.

Choose by shape, setting, carat or budget, then pair the ring with a band. US orders of $99 or more ship free and fully insured, and you can exchange a ring for a different size within 30 days.

Which diamond shape is the most popular?

Round is the classic and the most brilliant. Oval, emerald and cushion shapes are popular choices too.

What is a solitaire engagement ring?

A ring with one centre stone on a band and nothing else, so the stone stands out.

What is a halo setting?

A ring of small diamonds around the centre stone. It adds sparkle and makes the centre stone look bigger.

What is the difference between an engagement ring and a wedding band?

The engagement ring is given at the proposal and usually has a centre stone. The wedding band is exchanged at the wedding and is usually a simpler band worn with it.

Should the wedding band match the engagement ring?

It doesn't have to, but most couples choose the same metal colour, and a band that sits flush against the ring.

I love the bracelet. The quality is outstanding. I’m already receiving lots of compliments. I bought it because it’s pink and I’m a breast cancer survivor. I’ll be having my name engraved on it.
