Lab-Created Sapphire & Lab-Grown Diamond Ring in 14K Two-Tone Gold (5/8 ct. tw.), Size 7

Product Overview
A 14K two-tone gold ring set with an oval lab-created blue sapphire surrounded by a halo of lab-grown diamonds, finished in a polished surface.
Lab-created sapphires and lab-grown diamonds are produced in controlled laboratory environments rather than mined from the earth, yet they share the same chemical composition, hardness, and optical properties as their mined counterparts. This origin allows for a larger center stone and a fuller diamond halo at a more accessible price point than a fully mined equivalent.
Key Features
- Crafted in 14K two-tone gold with a polished finish
- Set with blue lab-created sapphire
- Measures 2.65 mm wide
- Approximate weight of 2.85 grams
Precious Metals at Sophia Jewelers
Our jewelry comes in a range of metals, from gold, platinum and sterling silver to stainless steel and titanium. Each product page lists its exact metal.
14k Gold (Most Popular)
58.3% pure gold. The ideal balance of durability and color richness. Available in yellow gold, white gold, and rose gold. The standard choice for fine jewelry and everyday wear.
18k Gold (Premium)
75% pure gold. Richer in color, slightly softer than 14k. Preferred for statement and heirloom pieces where purity matters most.
10k Gold (Everyday Value)
41.7% pure gold. The most durable gold alloy — ideal for active wearers. Stamped 417 on the piece.
Sterling Silver
92.5% pure silver, stamped 925. Cool-toned and versatile. Best for occasional wear; silver develops a natural patina over time.
Platinum
Naturally white, hypoallergenic, and the most durable precious metal. Recommended for those with nickel sensitivities.
Titanium & Stainless Steel
Lightweight, hypoallergenic, and virtually maintenance-free. Excellent for everyday jewelry and sensitive skin.
Lab-Grown Diamonds
Lab-grown diamonds are physically, chemically, and optically identical to mined diamonds. Same carbon crystal structure, same hardness (10 on the Mohs scale), same brilliance. The difference is origin and price: created in a controlled environment, lab-grown diamonds are typically 50-70% less expensive than comparable mined stones, meaning you get a larger, higher-quality diamond for your budget.
Lab-grown diamonds are conflict-free by origin and graded on the same 4Cs as mined diamonds: cut, color, clarity and carat weight. Grading reports are included only when the individual product details specify one.
How to Care for Your Jewelry
Fine jewelry deserves thoughtful care. These guidelines will keep your pieces looking luminous for years.
Daily Wear
- Remove jewelry before swimming, showering, or using cleaning products
- Apply lotion, perfume, and hairspray before putting on your jewelry — chemicals can dull metal and damage stones
- Avoid wearing jewelry during gym workouts or high-contact activities
- Put jewelry on last when getting dressed — last on, first off
Cleaning at Home
Mix a few drops of mild dish soap with warm water. Soak for 15-20 minutes, then gently scrub with a soft toothbrush. Rinse thoroughly and dry with a lint-free cloth. This method is safe for gold, platinum, and most gemstones. Avoid ultrasonic cleaners for pearls, opals, and emeralds.
Storage
Store each piece separately in a soft pouch or compartmentalized jewelry box to prevent scratching. Keep chains flat or hung to avoid tangling. Store silver in anti-tarnish pouches to slow oxidation.
Professional Care
Have precious stone jewelry professionally cleaned and inspected once a year to check prong integrity, stone security, and clasp function. Most jewelers offer this service free of charge.

What affects the price of sapphire rings?
Metal, stone type, and carat weight drive the price most. 14K or 10K gold costs more than sterling silver, and added diamond, larger total carat weight, and wider bands raise it further. Lab-created sapphire is priced differently from natural. Use the Price filter on this page to set a budget.
Which sapphire ring styles are most popular?
Sapphire and diamond bands in white gold lead the list. Wedding bands with princess or baguette diamonds alongside blue sapphire, complete channel bands, and alternating diamond and sapphire bands in yellow gold appear near the top. Stackable sterling silver rings and men's sapphire rings follow.
Are these sapphires natural or lab-created?
Both appear here, and each title says which. Look for "lab-created" or "created" in the name. In general, many natural sapphires are heat treated to improve color, which is a widely accepted practice, while lab-created sapphires have the same hardness and composition as natural ones.
Is a sapphire ring durable enough to wear every day?
Yes, sapphire is very hard and suits daily wear. It rates 9 on the Mohs scale, just below diamond, so it resists scratches well. Slim stackable bands and flush channel-set bands sit low on the hand, which helps them hold up to routine wear. See our jewelry care tips.
What is a complete band or eternity-style sapphire ring?
It has stones set all the way around the band. The result is a continuous line of color with no plain section. Several bands here alternate blue sapphire with diamond, in white or yellow gold. They wear well alone or beside a plain band.
Should I choose white gold, yellow gold, or sterling silver?
Pick the metal that flatters the wearer's other jewelry. White gold gives a cool look that sets off blue sapphire, yellow gold adds warmth, and sterling silver is a lighter option for stacking. Browse white gold sapphire jewelry to compare.
